Counselling is a therapeutic structured way of working through the issues you may face that are impacting and affecting your life. Engaging in therapy can help you to understand yourself, your emotions and your actions or reactions and may assist you in finding a resolution to the circumstances you may find difficult to manage, or that are impacting on your life, in an open, safe and nonjudgmental environment.

With the use of theory, principles and approaches, counselling is not just talking nor is it simply sharing with someone who is a good listener. Engaging in counselling sessions can provide valuable insight to facilitate and achieve a resolution and improve your overall wellbeing. Each tool and technique is a purposeful way to provide you with support and clarity outside your usual circle with any problems, issues or concerns you may be facing.

Counselling approaches include, however, are not limited to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Approached and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

As a trained professional, my goal as a therapist is to assist in easing the burden of your situation and ensure you are empowered with the ability to work through the issues that are impacting on your life.
